Yes, This Actually Happened! See The World’s Longest Book ‘Domino’ Chain

Now here’s one thing you can’t do with ebooks! The Seattle Public Library recently created the world’s longest domino chain — made entirely of books! The first time I watched this video, I was holding my breath the whole time. I still can’t quite believe it’s real.

The idea was created by two college students who enlisted a few volunteers. You won’t believe how many books they managed to set up or how beautiful the end result is! The reason they chose to take on this project is also awe-inspiring. These are people who have a passion for books and promoting literacy, for sure!

Can your e-reader stand up on its end? Do you happen to have this many of them lying around that you’re willing to casually tip over onto one another or drop off shelves for the sake of achieving a world record? We didn’t think so.

The best part is the extras, nonchalantly reading their books while history is being made around them. I can’t help but wonder how long those books took to re-shelve….
