When A Drought Caused This Lake To Recede, They Found Something Amazing Hidden By The Water.

Have you ever heard of St. Thomas, Nevada? Founded by Mormon settlers in 1865, St. Thomas has quite the history; and now, thanks to receding waters due to the drought, we’re getting a look at it for the first time in years. In the 1930’s, construction of the Hoover Dam caused the nearby Lake Meade’s water to rise. As a result, St. Thomas flooded, forcing all of the remaining residents to evacuate completely by 1938. What’s left is a fascinating ghost town, a slice of life preserved underwater. Get a closer look in the video below from CNN.
