Can You Name All The Book References In This Hilarious Parody Of “Uptown Funk?”

If you’ve been tuning in to the radio lately, you may have been hearing a lot of “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson, featuring Bruno Mars. The song is quite popular…and it’s super catchy and danceable.

But the Guybrarian and the folks of Orange Public Library did something special for National Library Week that makes our literary hearts sing with joy! They wrote their own parody version of this ear worm and called it “Unread Book.”

It’s rife with hilarious literary references—classic, contemporary, and children’s included; dancing and costumed librarians; and a chorus that will have you humming into your paperback for hours on end! So this is what happens when the library closes at night! We’ve always wondered…

We don’t know about you, but this catchy song makes us want to stop by the local library and check out a few books!

Can you catch all the references they make in the video?
