30 Articles, 30 Rights! The Universal Declaration of Human Rights Assures Rights for All

How much to you know about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights? We bet probably not that much, although it’s likely that you’ll sort of instinctively realize most of these items are true. But you’ve probably never read this declaration, and we guarantee you’ve never seen it like this!

The reason we have a Declaration of Human Rights to begin with is that most people on our great planet agree that there are certain things that can’t (or at least shouldn’t) be taken away from human beings. We are all a lot more similar than we often realize.

See the 30 articles of the Declaration of Human Rights come alive in this whimsical animation by Amnesty International.

In it, Julian Rhind-Tutt narrates how the Declaration came about and highlights some of the rights contained within. The clip is inspired by the book We Are All Born Free, which, in 2008, came out to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
